Freaks and weirdos

Let me ask all you males out there something.

If a female talks to you, does this mean she fancies you?

If she makes an effort to be friends because you've both started a new job on the same day, does this mean she fancies you?

If she does what is natural in a friendship and includes you in her day-to-day life, does this mean she fancies you?

If you know she has a boyfriend who she's happy with, does this mean she fancies you anyway?

Didn't think so.

Let me explain. There's a guy I work with, Dave, who started the job on the same day as me. I guess it was inevitable we'd become friends. All was well at first, he seemed normal, and I remember thinking how nice it was to have a male friend without any sexual undertone or worries. As far as I was concerned, he had a girlfriend, so the question of him fancying me or indeed anyone else never arose.

Until last weekend.

He's been getting involved with the wrestling after I mentioned it to him. He'd always fancied being a wrestler but hadn't realised how easy it actually was to get into. So he came along and gave it a go. Because of his knee he can't physically do it for a while, so he said he was content taking pictures at the shows for the website and so on.

Apparently, some of the lads at training had noticed him giving me 'googly eyes', but I dismissed it, not believing he would actually do that.

Then, while we were at the show on friday, he was swannign around taking pictures, and Sam and I were setting up the merchandise stall. I found out on monday that every time I went to talk to one of the lads (wrestlers), Dave was asking Sam why I was talking to them and what I was talking to them about.

But that's not what really freaked me out.

I had brought a shirt to change into, and I went to the ladies to do so. Dave appearently asked Sam what I was doing, what I was changing into, and whether he'd be able to see anything.

I felt sick when I found this out.

then today at work, I was collecting cups for the tea run, and as I went to get Dave's and Nick's (who sits next to Dave) I caught Dave staring up at me with what I can only describe as 'googly eyes'. What's really weird is that he then said something like 'Oh sorry, I went all googly eyed there for a second'.

So i'm now wondering if anyone has said something to him and he was taking the piss, or if he really was 'googly eyed'. I hope to gods it was the former.

But it just annoys me, that he's ruined a perfectly good friendship by being like that. Now I cringe whenever he comes near me, and I've even avoided printing things out at work because he sits right by the printer.

Gav is going to have a word with Dave next time he sees him, and I just hope he'll be able to control his temper. He's fuming with Dave for being so possessive at the show, and I can understand it, but if he clocks Dave one in the mush it'll make things awkward for me at work.

I guess I just can't understand anybody being so possessive and dare I say obsessed over someone when they a - look like me and b - have a boyfriend. Who Dave has met several times by the way.

Dave has mild aspergers syndrome, so I don't know if that's anything to do with it...

Apparently last night we had an earthquake. In Britain.

I reckon it was just Craig letting one rip...

Just found out my best friend is pregnant after only a month of trying. Obviously I'm really happy for her, and her hubs who's like my brother, but I can't help wishing that it was me too...Well, maybe one day. If my body allows it.

Mood - relaxed

Well, the cat had her first set of injections and she was surprisingly calm about it. I was expecting either me or the vet to lose a finger but apart from trying to jump off the table a little bit, she was fine.

Actually getting to the vet was a bit hair-raising. We had hailstones in the night (cheap mans snow lol) and they'd left a frosty coating on the roads. We live at the bottom of 2 hills and getting up them was a nightmare. I nearly redlined the car, and as we turned a corner we hit a patch of black ice and went straight into a wall. Luckily, my car is built like a tank so apart from a small scuff on the front bumper and a bit of a dint in the wheel rim it's fine. The wall now has a patch of blue paint on it though...

Kiki seemed quite interested in the car journey, looking out of the window a bit, probably wondering why the world was moving when she wasn't. Gav held her for a bit then just let her sit in the footwell, and she settled there easy enough.

On the way back we let her roam around the car again, and as I went to apply the accelerator coming out out a turn I felt something soft and furry...she'd decided to sit underneath the pedals!

We left the car at the top of the hill and walked back carrying her. Wasn't gonna try and brake on that ice! But typical, it's all gone now...

Right, must go feed my snakes.
